Cloverlodge raised money for the Vetter Foundation in some non-traditional ways. The small events included a chili feed for free will donation, casual days with dollar for casual shirt or jeans. A larger event was our “Pie in the Face”. All of the department heads had a jar for 4 weeks at the nurse’s station. Staff members could put change into the jar for the person they wanted to get the pie in the face. It came right down to the last day, however, our DON Eydie Schrad was the one who received the most money. After Eydie received her pie in the face the person who donated the most money that afternoon had the choice of the staff member they would like to receive a pie in the face. The administrator Samantha Tilson gave one a nursing assistants Shannon Bernt a pie in the face. Such a fun rivalry. When it was all said and done there was pie everywhere!

We also capitalized on being a facility of a small tight knit community with commode prank. A brightly decorated commode made its way around several lawns for several weeks. Homeowners had to pay $5 for removal, $5 if they wanted to specify whose lawn it went to, and if they did not want it at all they could pay $10 for insurance. Such a fun way to get the community involved with raising money!

After it was all done we totaled in at over $1000!
